Julian Peebles
Julian Peebles, President, brings a wealth of experience to his position at the Ruth Lilly Health Education Center. His varied career includes beginning as a high school health and history teacher, founding and operating a dairy wholesale business, and serving as vice president of the operational wing of the Indianapolis Private Council.
Prior to his appointment at the Center, Peebles served as president of Cathedral High School, a prominent private Catholic high school in Indianapolis. His leadership of his alma mater resulted in significant successes in the growth and the financial stability of the school. In 2000, after ten fulfilling years at Cathedral, Peebles accepted the position of president of the Ruth Lilly Health Education Center. The Center has experienced significant growth under his leadership.
Peebles is a life-long youth advocate and has been active in the health and fitness needs of young people. He is the recipient of the prestigious St. John Bosco Medal from the Catholic Youth Organization for his work in youth recreation.
Diana L. Ruschhaupt, MS, CHES
Diana Ruschhaupt is currently the Director of Programs for the Ruth Lilly Health Education Center. She has been at the Center for ten years. Prior to working at the Center, she was a health educator for four years at Barrington Middle School, Barrington, Illinois, teaching students in grades six through eight.
Diana holds a BS in health & safety/family studies & human development and a MS in college & school health education from Indiana University, Bloomington. She holds a teaching license in health education and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. Diana is also an instructor with the American Red Cross for water safety, first aid, CPR and AED.
Currently Diana serves on the board of directors, for the National Association of Health Education Centers and for the Arthritis Foundation, Indiana Chapter. She is a reviewer for the CDC Consumer Guide to Health Education Curricula and she is on the task force to review the Indiana professional standards for health. Diana is also actively involved in AAPHERD/AAHE and ASHA.
Courtney Leigh Redman, CHES
Courtney is a Health Educator and the Coordinator of Healthy Youth Indiana at the Ruth Lilly Health Education Center. As an intern at the Center, she found her love in working with kids and helping to give others the knowledge needed to make healthy lifestyle choices.
An avid Hoosier fan, Courtney received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, Bloomington in 2004. She majored in Public Health Education. While at IU, Courtney was involved in Eta Sigma Gamma, Nu Chapter, which is the Public Health Honorary on campus. In 2006, she became a Certified Health Education Specialist and is also a member of the American Association for Health Education and Indiana Society for Public Health Education. Here at the Center, she has become certified to teach Safe Sitter workshops and Basic HIV Education & Prevention sessions.
Courtney lives in Lebanon with her husband, Ryan, and their two big dogs, Maverick and Maddie.
